Hi everybody!

/!\ You don't have to be technical to help on this adventure (: /!\

We have gathered a little group in Lisbon that might be interested in creating a diy-isp.

This would be the first gathering to further organize ourself.

The objective of this first meeting would be:

• get to know each other
• have fun together
• think about a legal structure (association?)
• set the first miletones
• organise our presence at BattleMesh

Hope to see a great number of motivated people!

PS: We already received some advices to start this adventure, you can read them before joining us in this great adventure:

• Be at least 4
• Have regular meetings (fixed date with 2 to 3 week between each meetings), this is a KEY part to ensure you are still moving.
• Focus on long time sustainability of you energy, you don't want to spend all your energy at the beginning, you are going for the long run.
• Don't kill yourself doing to perfect organisation with the perfect status. This is a very common trap and can kill a project by exhausting everyone. You goal is to provide people with neutral internet in an associative human sized and focused structure, everything else is only here to support this goal.
• You generally have the choice between a hierarchical organisation * and a more self organised one. Pick the one you are the more at ease with. Self-organisation is great but requires enough experienced people in the group for that.
• read the hackerspaces design patterns (they are short) but remember that they are only advices https://wiki.hackerspaces.org/Design_Patterns
• learn what is bikesheding, avoid it http://bikeshed.com/
• communicate with other DIY ISP, we are a community, we can help and we have already solved the technical problems.
